The Vi ALU frame is based on a double voided extrusion. The stiffness of the frame is based on the extrusion in combination with the integrated contour edges of the frame. This construction helps to reduce the overall weight of the frame.

Aluminium alloys are alloys in which aluminium (Al) is the predominant metal. The typical alloying elements are copper, magnesium, manganese, silicon and zinc. The 7005 aluminium we use for the Vi ALU frame contains more zinc and has a higher tensile strength than 6000 series aluminium; important for the strength and rigidity of the frames. The frame is also T6 heat treated.

Triskate frames have a lot of advantages vs. 4 wheel frames. The setup is more lightweight due to the fact that you have one wheel less including bearings, spacer and hardware. The center wheel acts like a turing point making the frame super agil. The Vi 3 wheeler frame has a little flex and is a little more forgiving. The Vi ALU frame is not just looking like a lightweight frame – it indeed is a lightweight frame! The frame is CNC milled to perfection and features nice laser graphics. One of the special features is the scales along the side of the mounting slots, which are also placed on the front and rear to help the skater to adjust his frame-boot setup. The 12,2” short version of the 3x125mm Vi ALU frame is made especially for skater with small feet and female athletes. The Vi ALU frame features the 195mm standard mounting. It comes with single axles with torx head featuring first class laser prints. The torx head has the advantage that the axles do not go round too easy compared with regular hex axles. The Vi ALU frames have some CNC cuts around the front and rear mounting block to fit our Pitch & Stride Control. The combination of the across slot in the frame and the along slot in our boots is called the X-Slot Mounting. This system enables the skater to adjust the boot-frame setup without any dead spots according to his skating style and preferences.
