The shell of this impressive roller derby boot is made of a combination of lightweight carbon fiber and silver glass-fiber, giving you excellent responsiveness and superb power transfer. The Chaya Onyx boot has a low-cut design that gives your ankle increased freedom of movement, while still giving you the support you need for intense roller derby action. To further improve control and comfort, the Chaya Onyx boot has a traditional lacing system combined with a 45-degree strap that locks your heel perfectly in place. The Onyx features our unique 2-point Dual Center Mount (DCM) mounting system which enables you to attach any type of Chaya plate without drilling holes. DCM also allows you to adjust your plate both forward and backward and side to side, further advancing your individual skating style. Do you prefer another brand of skate plate? No problem - The Chaya Onyx roller derby boot can also use a standard mount so you can easily adapt the skate to fit any plate in the market. The last is used for Derby and Park for all boots based on our flex shell no matter if we talk about carbon shells or plastic shells. Characteristics are: • Nice and comfortable fit, medium width front, and ankle area • Great heel lock with medium volume • Normal arch • Medium volume instep • Flex cuts in the shell to ensure a nice fit also for wider feet • Heat moldable carbon shells to adjust the fit • 7mm heel raise The realFit last is used for the following skate models: Roller Derby - Eclipse - Onyx - Topaz - Jade Park - Karma
Sizing advice for inline skates

FIND YOUR SKATE SIZE

For the best performance, inline skates should have a snug fit. It's not necessary to buy inline skates one size larger than your foot size; as they break in, all inline skates will expand and widen over time. It's important to know that soft boots will expand more than hybrid or carbon boots.

3 EASY STEPS TO MEASURE YOUR FEET:

Step 1

Place and fix an A4 sheet of paper on the floor against a straight wall that ends flush with the floor. Wear your usual skating socks for more accuracy and place your foot on the sheet with your heel touching the wall (make sure your heel touches the wall without significant pressure.)

Step 2

Stand relaxed on the foot you are measuring and draw a line around the outline of your foot starting at the big toe. Be sure to hold the pencil vertically to prevent any deviation. It's ideal to have a friend draw the line for better accuracy. Measure the length of the paper to the line: that's your MONDOPOINT size.

TIP: For the best fit, measure your foot after a short skating session or at the end of the day as your foot will naturally swell and expand.

Step 3

Do the same for the other foot and compare measurements. The correct size will be the length of the longer foot:
Precision fit add 2-3mm.
Comfort fit add 4-6mm.
