Why do you love to skate? Skating is a very democratic sport, it doesn't matter if you have the best skates in the world or the cheapest, or if you borrow skates, skating we are all the same.
What keeps you pushing forward in skating? Just love the sport, and I believe I still have so much to accomplish.
What was your greatest success? All the friends I made during all these years.
What is your favorite place to skate? I have two, a Hockey rink and also on the streets.
What is your favorite trick? Outside the hockey, I like some downhill.
What advice would you like to give? For those who do not skate yet, grab any skates and try, bend your knees, and be happy. For those already skate, make sure you split your knowledge so many people around looking for support.
Any hobbies outside of skating? Spending time with my family and friends is my favorite hobby.
What is your favorite moment in skating? As a player the bronze medal in the both Pan-American games 1999 and 2003.
Tell us about your personal philosophy, phrase, ethic, and/or value as a skater! Yes, you can write a book…?
I believe that when our excess of comfort makes someone uncomfortable it is not justifiable, that lack of respect, racism and any kind of discrimination for whatever reason is never right. I really believe that what we do returns us, so I always try to do my best. And to 100% complete the way I live my life and teach my athletes and students I will share with you the Pama Golden Knights Academy "sayings".
#1 - Your attitude determines your altitude.
The way you think and behave determines where you will arrive and what kind of person you are.
#2 - Elephants don´t bite.
Sometimes we face opponents who seem to be better than us, and we lose before we even start. So remember, the biggest animal on the planet doesn't bite, don't be intimidated.
#3 - I feel wonderful today.
A positive mindset makes us see life positively and opens doors.
#4 - Don´t let anybody disturb your peace of mind.
We are responsible for our own actions. Losing your head is an act of its own and no one but ourselves is to blame for it.
#5 - the best is yet to come.
We never know what tomorrow is, so we never know how good it will be.
#6 - if you can dream it, you can achieve it.
If you can dream it, you can make it. The same time invested in dreaming is the same time invested in realizing it.
#7 - It´s not where we´ve been, it´s where we´re going.
Where we've been is no more important than where we're going.
Can you tell us about your Hockey projects you do?
By now, I am the CEO and founder of Pama Golden Knights Academy which is the official development program of the world Skate. We bring free inline hockey camps around the world. I am also the face of the petition Roller Hockey on LA Olympics 2028 and the head coach of Canada Inline National Teams.
